We recently switched publishers from Amazon (a complete waste of time!) to IngramSpark, a highly regarded international publisher and book sales promotion company. Making this change has not been easy, and so far I have only been able to upload two of our five editions—paperback and hardback with all black and white interiors. I’m currently working on preparing the two color interior versions as well as our E-Book.

The “word on the street” is that it can take several months before your book(s) may—emphasis on may—appear for sale on any of the larger book retailers’ websites or in their stores. And it’s only been about ten days since I uploaded my files, so I haven’t even been checking… until this morning.

While working on my first cup of coffee, I decided to go to the Barnes & Noble website and do a search for “Inside the Ford White House.” Amazingly, up came my book, and my book alone! Additional searches returned mine along with other books that have been published for a much longer time. And, there are searches that should return my book, but don’t yet. Time will take care of that.

Another plus is that the two versions of my IngramSpark-published books are now on Amazon, but printed by IngramSpark. That solves the quality and missing pages issues that caused me to pull my books that Amazon was printing. So now, Follow The Yellow Line is being sold by the #1 and #2 biggest book retailers in the United States! What a morning!
